Learning Room

About the Learning Room

The learning room is an interactive space where good infrastructure, resources and skilled personnel come together to build English Literacy and 21st century skills through daily sessions and weekly workshops. Here, the student is at the centre of all initiatives and all supporting stakeholders like teachers, government officials and Pehlay Akshar members collaborate to drive systemic transformation in government schools. Running pilot program in 10 BMC schools.

How do we create an Impact?

For Students

We conduct daily classes in the learning room which improve the functional English skills of students and help in building 21st century skills like self-awareness, critical thinking, creativity, global awareness, digital literacy, and social skills.

For Teachers

For the Teacher Development Program, we conduct workshops with teachers to create a systemic change that goes beyond the Learning Room and transforms teaching practices. Under this program, we build a self-help support system amongst teachers through “Saathi Sessions”.

Government Officials

Through orientations/induction and regular meetings/updates.

For Parents

We partner with experts to get parents involved in the students’ learning journey.
