Pehlay Akshar Foundation was started in 2008 with the core belief that every student has the right to an excellent education and gain the skills needed to be future-ready.
We work with the philosophy of “empowering every child with English Literacy and developing a Learning Mindset to make job ready.”
90% of the content on the internet is in English. Knowing English makes it easier to acquire 21st Century skills and opens doors to better career opportunities.
To address this need, we enable students and teachers across India with ‘Functional English’. We partner with the State Governments to implement our well researched programs and change the way students learn, and teachers teach in schools.
Every initiative nurtures curiosity, creativity, and socio-emotional growth, which is also acknowledged in the National Education Policy 2020.
We empower teachers with tools, strategies, and peer-learning opportunities, recognizing them as the backbone of sustainable change.
We measure outcomes rigorously, ensuring accountability and continuous improvement.
We work hand-in-hand with governments, schools, and communities to scale impact and build long-term ecosystems.
We integrate storytelling, digital tools, and interactive methods to make learning accessible, engaging, and future-ready.
Training, mentoring, and supporting government teachers to create joyful, inclusive, and safe learning spaces.
Facilitating Core Studies, Theatre, and Biodiversity sessions while offering creative platforms like the Kala Ghoda Arts Festival.
Building functional English and life skills, using evidence-based practices, and collaborating with government to scale impact.
