Out of every rupee that is donated to Pehlay Akshar, 90 paise goes towards direct and in-direct program expenses like content development, teacher training, on-ground implementation, program team salary, etc. and 10 paise goes towards the operational expenses of Pehlay Akshar. This includes the cost of Finance, Communications, Strategy and HR, and other such functions, necessary to support the organization.

The Pehlay Akshar Foundation (PAF) implements a multi-year training model designed to empower BMC teachers with English literacy and a growth mindset.
Trained 450 “Star Teachers” through 10 groups over 5 days each, conducting 50 in-person interactive trainings and facilitating 1,800 weekly peer learning sessions across 45 groups.
Trained 3,500 teachers through 1,760 virtual interactive sessions and monitored 19,250 weekly peer learning sessions conducted by Star Teachers.
Conducted refresher training for 4,000+ teachers through 300 in-person interactive sessions (3 trainings across 100 cohorts) and monitored 4,000 monthly peer learning sessions.
Drove development for 4,000+ teachers through 3 dynamic workshops, encompassing 300 interactive half-day sessions and oversight of 4,000 monthly peer learning engagements.
Delivered two workshops (200 interactive day-long trainings) for 3,500+ teachers and monitored 4,000 monthly peer learning sessions.

Introduces the "Magic Classroom" concept built on appreciation and engagement while emphasizing safe learning spaces.
Covers basics, focusing on listening, reading, speaking, and vocabulary for better communication.
Explores how mental blocks hinder learning and encourages a shift from a fixed to a growth mindset to create a positive classroom culture.
Implements diverse techniques to address varied student behaviors, fostering an inclusive and productive environment.
