Shubham Dongre

From Classroom Confidence to a Career in HR

As a student, Shubham Dongre was known for his sharp attention and quiet curiosity that guided his approach to learning. He observed carefully, asked questions when needed, and showed a natural interest in understanding how people worked together. While he was eager to learn, what he needed most in his early years was confidence in communication and clarity in expressing his ideas.

His association with the Pehlay Akshar Foundation (PAF) became an important step in building that confidence. Through English classes focused on grammar, reading, spoken communication, and interactive activities, Shubham gradually became more comfortable expressing his thoughts. These sessions strengthened both his language skills and self-belief—qualities that later supported him in presentations, internships, and professional conversations.

After completing Grade 10 in 2019, Shubham chose the Commerce stream at M.K. Junior College, where he began exploring the world of business and organisational systems. His curiosity about how teams function and how workplaces operate led him to pursue a Bachelor of Management Studies (BMS) at Shree Purushottam Laldas College.

During his undergraduate years, Shubham developed strong professional skills in communication, presentations, and teamwork. It was during this period that he discovered a growing interest in Human Resources, a field focused on people, leadership, and organisational culture.

Currently pursuing his Master’s in Business Management, Shubham sought practical exposure in HR and reached out to Pehlay Akshar for an internship. From the beginning, he immersed himself in the work—supporting recruitment processes, coordinating interviews, and contributing to workplace initiatives.

His dedication and initiative quickly made him a valued member of the team. The experience strengthened his HR knowledge while giving him deeper insights into collaboration, organisational culture, and people-focused work.

Beyond his professional role, Shubham has remained an active alumni member—motivating peers, mentoring younger students, and encouraging engagement with Pehlay Akshar programmes.

From a curious school student to a management postgraduate preparing for a career in Human Resources, Shubham Dongre’s journey reflects confidence, opportunity, and steady growth.“The confidence and mentorship I received through Pehlay Akshar have shaped not just my career, but how I guide others on their journey.”
