Vatsalya Pandey’s learning journey began with a strong sense of curiosity and a habit of asking questions. He often asked questions, eager to understand concepts rather than simply memorise them. Learning, for him, was not only about completing lessons but about discovering how things worked and expressing ideas with clarity.
Yet confidence in communication, like for many young learners, developed gradually.
His early association with the Pehlay Akshar Foundation (PAF) played an important role in shaping this confidence. Through interactive English sessions, discussions, and engaging classroom activities, Vatsalya experienced learning as something empowering and expressive. The environment encouraged students to speak, participate, and share ideas freely.
One moment remains especially memorable in his journey. During Pehlay Akshar’s Annual Day in his 8th standard, Vatsalya delivered a speech in English for the first time. Standing before an audience, he completed the speech confidently without forgetting a single line. The encouragement he received from the Pehlay Akshar team made the experience deeply meaningful and helped him discover the strength of his own voice.
As his academic journey progressed, this confidence continued to grow.
After completing Grade 10, Vatsalya chose the Science stream, guided by his increasing interest in computers and analytical thinking. Today, he is pursuing his Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (Second Year) at Maharshi Dayanand College, Parel, where he continues to strengthen his technical knowledge and explore the possibilities of the digital world.
Recognising his initiative and eagerness to learn, Pehlay Akshar later selected Vatsalya for an internship. During this experience, he actively participated in sessions, asked thoughtful questions, and expressed a strong interest in understanding the work of the Digital Team. The internship provided him with practical exposure, professional learning, and an opportunity to develop real-world skills.
From a curious student finding his voice to a young learner building a future in technology, Vatsalya Pandey’s journey reflects confidence, initiative, and purposeful growth.“I approached Pehlay Akshar because I wanted to learn and work with the Digital Team. This internship has given me the chance to explore my interests and build real skills.”
